Personal Safety Inside the Home

 

This course teaches of basics of defending yourself and your family with a handgun in case of a violent home invasion. This course is for students experienced with safe handgun handling and proficient in basic handgun skills. Participants must be experienced shooters, able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm.

To be eligible to take this course, you must show completion of the NRA Basic Pistol course.

Course Goal: To develop in the students the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding citizen’s right to self-defense.
